Public WiFi at Sight Village

Last time I went to Sight Village there were two options for Public WiFi.
There was a secure network called “Sight Village Central” which you could get the password for when you entered the event and an open one called “CranmorePark” which you could self-register for.
I tested both of these out and found that the Cranmore Park one ended up being faster and more reliable, likely due to it being less congested.
If you would like to get more reliable WiFi at Sight Village, here are the steps:

  1. Open WiFi settings on the device you would like to connect and make sure WiFi is on.
  2. Select the “CranmorePark” WiFi network. There are usually a lot of networks to scroll through at Sight Village to find this.
  3. If a login page doesn’t pop up automatically, just type an address like http://example.com into a web browser.
  4. Once you reach the login page, you will get to a Cisco Meraki screen asking for a username and password. Scroll to the bottom and select “Create account”
  5. Fill out all the fields, agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click “Register”
  6. You should now be redirected to a Cisco Systems page saying that you are online.

Congratulations! You are now ready to start enjoying more reliable WiFi at Sight Village.
N.B. This network isn’t particularly fast (you get roughly 10 MBPS for both download and upload speed) but it was a lot more reliable than the Sight Pillage network (where speed fluctuated massively).
