How to start a Zoom meeting on iOS

Starting an instant meeting

  1. Open the Zoom app. If you don’t have it, you will need to install it from the App Store.
  2. If asked to Sign in, either sign in with Google, Apple or email. This is required to create a Zoom account.
  3. Once you are on the main screen, click “New meeting”.
  4. On the next screen, you can choose a few settings. Select your preferred options and click Start meeting to create your new meeting.
  5. You are now in the meeting. To Invite people, click the “Participants” button at the bottom and then “Invite”. Select how you would like to send your invitation and then complete the sharing process in your chosen app.

Scheduling a meeting

  1. Open the Zoom app. If you don’t have it, you will need to install it from the App Store.
  2. If asked to Sign in, either sign in with Google, Apple or email. This is required to create a Zoom account.
  3. Once you are on the main screen, click the “Schedule” button.
  4. Enter the details for your meeting. Enter a topic, select a time and date, and choose other settings such as whether to require participants to enter a Passcode before joining. You can also choose to add this meeting to your iCloud calendar.
  5. If you selected to add it to your calendar, a calendar event will appear. Click “Add” to add the meeting to your Calendar.
  6. You will now be prompted to Invite people. Select your preferred app and send invitations.
  7. You can access your new meeting from the “Meetings” tab in Zoom.
